 WALT Show not tell.

It was the moment they had been dreading for decades. The volcano had finally erupted. The earth shook, as torrents of golden death cascaded over the helpless landscape. Clouds of ash swarmed as the beast that had been sleeping for years, now awoken smite his fury upon the world. In the distance a flash of silvery lightning licked across the sky: a snake’s forked tongue lashing out in fury to strike its prey. The world was on fire. It was nature's turn to take its revenge.

Jack and his family were enjoying a nice cup of tea with Jack’s friend and his family. His friends name was Max. Then all of a sudden, Jack’s dad ran in the room, screaming at the top of his lungs. “THE VOLCANO ERUPTED AND THE LAVA IS GETTING WAAAAYYYY TOO CLOSE FOR MY LIKING!”

“Why are you screaming like that, Dad?” Asked Jack curiously.

“THE VOLCANO HAS ERUPTED SO WE MUST LEAVE NOW!”

“Okay, but stop SCREAMING!” Yelled Mum

Max was always a quiet one. He never put his hand up in class. He had always locked himself up in the library at lunchtimes. And, when he was at home, he played on the computer. He loved every game there was, apart from a game called Minecraft. He hated it so much, so he had decided to download a hack for Minecraft called Impact.

Luckily, Jack’s dad was a pilot, and because they lived on top of a mountain, just across from the volcano, they had a clear view. They were thankful that they had a Concorde, so they could fly away at supersonic speed. Jack’s dad told everyone to ‘pack their bags’ for a final time.

After they all met on the runway outside the Sayle’s house, they boarded the almighty concorde. The inner fuselage was decked out with gold, and all the seats were made of leather, there was an on-board shower, kitchen, lounge and TV room, with 3 bedrooms. The plane took off at amazing speeds. Within a minute, they were flying at the speed of sound, and they were around 60,000 feet in the air. The feeling was amazing, and the view of the massive volcano, and the surrounding mountainside. The owner of the concorde was flying, and he suddenly lost control of the last concorde in the world, and the plane veered of course and landed in the middle of the volcano.

When they were alive, they went to church every Sunday, so they believed in God and Jesus. After their plane crashed, all of them went upwards towards the heavens above. When they arrived outside heaven's gate, a guard around 10000 years old, flew over to them, and asked, “May I please see your family authentication in order to enter God’s Lair?”

Dad pulled out the family Authentication, and the guard accepted it and signed it. Everyone could now speak to God.

They all walked through the mountains, and walked up to the almighty God and his son, Jesus. Dad asked, “Excuse me, my lord, but, we have come here on a very sad trip. We were flying in our concorde, and the plane veered off course and landed smack dab in the middle of a danging volcano yall. Yah hear me lads?”

God got very sickened and annoyed at Dad because he was talking like he was a country gardener. God reached over to a coffee mug, which had a concealed button. The mug said ‘Live your Life’ on it. He clicked the button, and everyone who was on top of the hidden trapdoor fell down into a freefall. They were all back in their living room, drinking their cups of tea, and the volcano had some workers, who were pouring water onto the melting volcano.

Jack woke up covered in sweat. He thought, “Few, it was just a dream.”

The End
